Put bugs in order and finish them
Use the list when you want to set priority. Use the board when you want to see what is waiting, being fixed, and ready to test.
Plans. Plus, Business, and Pro, for the board and for My Bugs. Scan Bugs are on every plan, in the list.
On Bugs, switch between List and Board.
Set priority in the list
Backlog is the holding list. Priority 1 is the next bug to move onto the board. Drag the handle, or use the up and down buttons, to change the order. Sort by type, bug, WCAG rule, or severity when you want a different view. Putting a bug higher does not fix it. It tells the team what to pick up next.
Move a bug across the board
Each column is a stage:
- Backlog — agreed, and not on the board yet.
- Up next — the next work to start.
- In progress — someone is fixing it.
- Testing — the fix is ready for someone to check. Testers start here.
- Done — the fix is accepted.
Choose the column on the bug, or move it on the board. Assign a person when you know who owns the fix. When the bug has been sent to Jira, that move and that person update the Jira story as well. A false positive stays in Backlog until you mark it as a genuine issue again.
After the website changes, check the page again. A Scan Bug that the new scan no longer finds drops off the open list, and the health score leaves it out. Move a My Bug to Done when your team accepts the fix. The queue is finished when that bug sits in Done and the fresh scan no longer lists the problem.
