Watch: what SiteScan is
Transcript of the SiteScan introduction

My name is Gerry Neustatl. I've worked in digital accessibility across business, government, media, and communications for more than 15 years.

The internet was always meant to be accessible for everyone, including more than 20% of Australians with a disability. And it can be with thoughtful design, development, and testing.

The benefits are also far-reaching for you, your customers, or audiences, because an accessible web is easier to find, understand, and use. Put simply, it's better for everyone. If you want more reach, penetration, or customers, accessibility of your website and its content must be part of that mix.

I am so proud of AccessUX's SiteScan. It neatly bundles everything I've learned about web accessibility across the years into a simple, easy-to-use package to help you manage your accessible web presence, including pages, content, and multimedia. There's something for everyone.

Try us out with a quick PageScan or jump straight into our introductory product, SiteScan Starter. Both are completely free. Frequently asked questions

What is SiteScan?

SiteScan is an end-to-end web accessibility management tool that helps you identify and fix accessibility issues on your website. Is SiteScan free?

PageScan, SiteScan Browser Extension and SiteScan Start are free!. If you have a very small site with less than 20 pages try SiteScan Starter, you may not need anything more. If you do, choose Plus, Business or Pro plan to suit your needs. You can change anytime, and AccessUX experts are always available to help.

Is the cost per person (seat)?

No, the cost is per website. Choose the right plan for you based on the number of pages you need to scan and monitor, and the number of people you want on your team.

Is SiteScan an 'overlay'?

No, it is not an 'overlay' - it will never hide accessibility issues or give you a false sense of compliance. However it will help you efficiently find accessibility issues, then manage them through to resolution.

How many pages can I scan?

From 1 to 5,000 depending on your plan. An agency keeps 200 pages on their own website and chooses a shared cap for client websites: 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, 25,000, or 50,000 pages. Contact us for Agency pricing. You can move to a higher cap when you need it.

Which pages are scanned?

You have total control over which pages are scanned. You can scan your entire website, or just a few pages. Add or remove pages from your page list anytime. You can also scan your Staging site first if you want to check accessibility before you publish (Business and Pro plans).

Can I add my own Bugs?

Definately! Automated tests are great for broad identification of 'discoverable' issues. But many issues are simply not discoverable through automation, so SiteScan lets you to add your own Bugs, and track them through to resolution. If you want help, SiteScan Assist can guide your documentation, and AccessUX experts can check it before you submit it to your team. You can also add your own notes and screenshots to each Bug.

Can I synchronise bugs with Jira?

Yep! Enjoy one-click synchronisation with Atlassian Jira and manage, then manage Bugs in SiteScan, Jira or both. Other synchronisation options are available too, just ask us.

What is an Accessibility Health Check?

An Accessibility Health Check is a snapshot of your page's accessibility, analysed across your page list for an overall Health Score. Track improvements over time, and see how your website is performing against accessibility standards.

Can SiteScan make our audio and video accessible too?

Yes and no! SiteScan creates captions and transcripts for your audio and video content that you can easily edit. But you still need to publish them on YouTube, your content management system, or wherever you publish your multimedia.

What are SiteScan credits and do I need them?

SiteScan credits are not used for scans. Use them if you want specialist help from AccessUX experts to identify or document issues on your website. Think of them as a way to get web accessibility help from AccessUX experts if and when you need it. Use credits for generating audio and video captions and transcripts.
